Tryouts, attire and more
Tryout Information
- Tryouts begin on Monday, August 2nd from 3:30-5:30 at Forsyth Park Diamond #1.
- Tryout dates are Monday-Wednesday (Aug. 2-4) from 3:30-5:30.
- On Wednesday of that week, the coaching staff will make the final cuts. 18 players are the max number of players we can hold on the roster, however we can keep less if we choose.
- Before tryouts, you must have an updated physical on file. You also must be registered on the online athlete registration site (8 to 18).
Baseball Attire
- Players must be in baseball attire: baseball pants, baseball hat, cleats, glove, etc.
- Cleats must be plastic, no metal per IESA rules.

Additional Information
- Once tryouts are complete, there will be an additional parent meeting to go over more information about the season.
- The following dates are the scheduled practices for the first 2 weeks. Once school starts, we will practice every day after school unless we have a game or unless told otherwise by Coach Azzarelli.
- All practices will take place at Forsyth Park, Diamond #1 unless told differently by Coach Azzarelli.
- The schedule is always subject to change due to weather.
Baseball Bat Regulations
- Any bat with a BBCOR label is a legal bat.
- Non-BBCOR bats
- have to be 30 inches or under
- have to have a barrel diameter of 2 ⅝
- must have a USA Baseball logo on the bat
- This bat may have a greater than minus three differential, i.e. 30 inches in length and 20 oz., 29/20, or some other combination as long as the bat has a maximum length of 30 inches and the barrel is 2 ⅝. Again, these bats must contain the USA Baseball logo.
- Any bat with a barrel diameter of 2 1/4 is illegal.
- Any bat 31 inches and over must have a BBCOR label. A 31 inch or over bat with a USA Baseball logo is illegal.
- All bats with a USSSA logo are illegal.
- Non-wood bats with a 2 3/4" barrel are illegal.
- Wooden bats that meet NFHS regulations are legal.
